Shad Canada – STEAM and entrepreneurship program

Every summer 1,000 trailblazing students spend 27-days at a Canadian university in seminars, labs and hands-on learning. Shad Valley started in Aurora, Ontario in 1981 and has grown into Shad Canada which offers a widespread STEAM and entrepreneurship program for students at 19 university campuses each year. More than 19,000 students have completed the Shad program. Its mission is to empower exceptional youth to make the world a better place. Shad’s values are a critical component of the culture, codes of conduct and selection process of Shad program participants and volunteers. It is through these values that Shad can maintain the inclusive and diverse culture that it is known for.

Shad2021

We brought our legacy live-in program online. The same Shad value in an online format.

In true Shad-style we are raising the bar on our Shad2020 success and are bringing an even richer experience to 2021 program.

Together with our university partners, ShadOnline 2021 will be held in virtual campuses and include synchronous real-time sessions, access to high calibre keynote speakers and a signature design project.  Selected participants will work in pan-Canadian teams and pitch a team project to a panel of industry experts.

More students. More sessions. Access to university campuses!

This year’s design project is under wraps, but has the same Shad signature:  STEAM design to impact humankind. #STEAM4Good
